Does Earth4Energy Work ?
...Or Any Of The Other Solar And Windpower Manuals For That
Matter...
The Earth4Energy manual is not an outright scam
or rip off. If you follow the instructions in these
manuals you will end up with a solar panel and a wind
turbine.
However, you will not be able to completely power your home
with a solar panel and wind turbine made from the manual.
This is pointed out on some of the sales pages for these
products but it is not as easy to spot as the headlines that
proclaim that you can slash your electricity bills.
Indeed, most of the solar panels that are created produce
around 100 watts of power. This is nowhere near enough to power
your home. In reality you would need up to about 10 of these
panels to produce a decent amount of power.
So you will have to spend a bit more than $200 or $150 if
you want a total solution to your power needs.
With this said, one panel and turbine will knock some money
off your bills. You will certainly save more money on
electricity bills than it costs you to purchase the manual
after a few of months of use.
Another point worth mentioning is that results will vary
depending on where you are located. You would think this is
more relevant to the solar component of the system but it is
probably more important for the wind turbine.
If you don't get an average wind speed of around 15-20 miles
per hour it may not be worth putting up a windmill. You simply
won't get the wind to create enough energy. And you also
need a fair amount of space to locate a windmill so it may not
be for everyone.
The solar panel is far more convenient and portable and
provided you get clear sunlight (as opposed to heat) you should
be able to generate electricity.
So in summary, the systems these manuals show you how to
make do work and will save you money, but they may not
save you as much money as you were expecting. This is not
strictly a bad thing, as you will end up with small renewable
energy systems for your home and learn how to use energy
more efficiently which is a step in the right direction
financially and for the environment.
They are fun and rewarding projects to undertake too.
